Business Development Manager (m/w/d)

Automotive Aftermarket

A Business Development Manager is required to join a leading provider of automotive data solutions to the automotive aftermarket throughout the DACH region.

We are seeking a Business Development Manager with experience of nurturing existing partner, reseller, distributor and key account business whilst actively seeking out opportunities for new business. Our ideal candidate will have proven experience of operating in the automotive aftermarket or Software as a Service (SaaS) sectors.

Home / Office based- Regular attendance in Cologne required ideal location Cologne, Dortmund, Dsseldorf, Frankfurt, Mannheim, Stuttgart and surrounding areas

OTE 85k- 100k, 65-80k Basic + Bonus (circa 20k) + Car + excellent benefits including career advancement, generous holiday entitlement, VWL retirement allocation, on-site canteen with hot and cold drinks provided

The Role:

Attain key accounts on a quarterly basis to achieve an annual targets utilizing pipeline management and status reporting.
Work with the Sales Director to facilitate the introduction to new prospective partnerships, associations, key accounts or other opportunities.
Identify and manage partnership/reseller lead generation programs with responsibility for increasing sales and exceeding annual revenue targets.
Identify and secure new resellers/distributors. Work to successfully integrate with partners / resellers / distributors folllowing a structured go-to-market guide to ensure relationships are successful.
The BDM role requires ongoing management of reseller programs to maximize performance, and coordination of all efforts with direct sales.
Conduct regular partner business reviews to ensure collections, performance, and identification of new relationship opportunities.
Take accountability for collection activities of assigned partners and key accounts.
Strong collaboration and communication with the sales team to ensure integration efforts are successful.
Participate and attend industry events, partner business activities and other initiatives.

The Candidate:

Our ideal candidate will have extensive, proven experience in a business development or sales role.
Experience of managing partner relationships and program management is essential for this role as is a demonstrable success in growing revenue, profitability and market share.
The ability to prospect, nurture and manager new business.
A distinct advantage is an understanding of the automotive aftermarket industry and its key players along with market trends and competitor knowledge.
Alternatively, previous experience of working with a Software as a Service (SaaS) product.
Key personal attributes should include problem solving, the ability to manage multiple tasks, able to work to deadlines, a relationship builder and strong business acumen.
Language skills should include fluent in German and English, other additional European languages are advantageous.
