This prestigious Massachusetts South Shore company is seeking "A Level" Japanese World Class Translators. We are looking for the best in the business.

Our "A Level" Translators understand, interpret and perform translation services for US and foreign clientele in the energy industry. Translations will be edited and proofed by our translation team for 100% accuracy.

Incumbents must have the ability to assist our JP team and independently translate complex transactional documentation, interpret workflows and apply accurate technical translations for multiple business processes and business documents over the course of the work assignment.

Incumbents should have the ability to interpret, translate, edit and proof documentation with 100% accuracy. All documentation will be vetted for all aspects of technical subject matter to ensure translations are accurate and can be understood by both English and Japanese employees, prospects, and our clients.

When does the assignment begin?

Positions started in our Norwell, MA office in May 2015. This is our first official year sponsoring an internship program into our new hire training program.

What is the duration of the assignment?

Assignments are rolling assignments that can turn into Winternships with the opportunity to turn into full time positions as we grow this new program. Candidates may work as many hours as their advisors and academic programs allow for and start anytime during the calendar year.

Our "A Team" World Class candidates possess a HIGH level of skill and experience in IT, Computer Science and Business Administration.

Translator Technical Requirements:

Our A Team" Translators must possess an overall background in IT. They must think quickly on their feet and enjoy the challenge of problem solving and seeking business solutions to problems. Verbal and written communication skills are guiding principles for the position but are a given.

Our new A Team translators must have the ability to fully comprehend IT terminology and industry specific terms to interpret and perform accurate translations and independently create new technical documentation in both English and Japanese.

Language Requirements:

Candidates must have a full command of both English and Japanese languages. Our incumbents must also possess a full comprehension and understanding of industry & technical business terminology and must be able to interpret and translate in word for word scenarios.

Incumbents will be required to perform accurate translations for data such as field names and system codes.

All data must be translated into documentation explaining how existing Japanese codes map to the newly created system codes. Data that requires translation comes in various forms including PDF files, MS Word and Excel files, containing tables and matrices. Candidates must have a working knowledge of these business applications.

-Translation software (any type of automated translation tools)

-Energy or sustainability certifications
-Any other certifications, credentials

Types of Assignments and accreditations:

-Internships, Winternships
-Temporary assignments
-Permanent assignments
-Temporary to permanent assignments

Colleges and Universities:

-Paid assignments
-Unpaid assignments for academic credit to apply to major

Please note:

Paid assignments are based on status of residence / Mass DOL requirements and student accreditation requirements. Our company adheres to your college or university policy.

Work samples:

Interested candidates will be asked to complete a translation samples provided by Energy Services Group. Samples will be provided to interested candidates.

In addition, students are also encouraged to provide a sample of their own work.

Seeking all interested full time candidates or students. Once training is completed in our Norwell Office, candidates will have the ability to work remotely if translation work completed during training satisfies the quality requirements.
