Systems Analyst/Business Analysis for Client-Facing Role – Entertainment Sector - REVISED

Salary: Maximum US$85,000 plus benefits package

THE COMPANY AND SITUATION OVERVIEW:

The world leader in software systems to the music and entertainment industry requires an I.T. Systems Analyst or I.T. Business Analyst to undertake a client-facing role relating to their software product aimed at the film/TV industry.


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

The experience required for this role is as follows:

• A minimum of 5 years real-world experience in I.T. Systems Analysis or I.T. Business Analysis
• Experience of I.T. Project Management
• Understanding of, and experience in writing Business Process Flows and Business Requirements
• Very strong documentation skills
• VERY important are excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Are your communication skills and presentation of the standard that you could be sent out alone to see a Fortune 100 client?

Desirable, but not essential, is any experience of

• Experience in I.T. Systems Analysis or I.T. Business Analysis gained in an I.T. service provider such as a software company, I.T. Consultancy, I.T. Systems Integrator
• Experience in I.T. Systems Analysis or I.T. Business Analysis gained in the Film/TV industry
• Experience of Project Managing the implementation of financial software – any system that deals with financial transactions


THE JOB:

This is essentially a classic Business Analyst role: Taking down client requirements and converting them to technical specifications for the software development staff. We need someone to listen to the client and accurately document their needs. You will also be deputising for the existing Director of Client Services in her absence, so this is an “in at the deep end” situation, requiring someone who could handle that position with autonomy, as opposed to requiring mentoring in such a situation.


THE OPPORTUNITY:

The opportunity here is deemed by the Senior VP and General Manager as “limitless”. Due to growth, this is a brand new position and the first position of its kind within the company. They are looking for someone they can groom for management and in the longer term become a future Director of Client Services and manage multiple areas of the firm. Deputising for the existing Director of Client Services in her absence will very much fast-track you to that stage.
